“Kanaker-Zeytun” MC” CJSC
“Kanaker-Zeytun” MC” CJSC was established in 2003 on the basis of “The 8th medical association” CJSC. “The 8th medical association” was the first health institution of Zeytun district. In 2003 according to the decision of the parliament of RA, “Kanaker-Zeytun” MC” CJSC was formed which included the polyclinic “Zeytun” and the children's polyclinic “Arabkir”, the Hygiene and Professional Diseases Scientific Research Institute. 334 doctors, 491 paramedical staff work in “Kanaker-Zeytun” MC”. 5 of the employees of the centre are Doctors of medical science, 20 of the employees are Candidates of medical science, 3 of them are Candidates of biological science, 1 is a Candidate of technical science. Material technical modernization
Serious attention is paid to the material and technical modernization and saturation of the subdivisions of the centre. During 2005-2008 years the reception of the hospital, the departments of the plastic reconstruction and microsurgery, ENT diseases, gynecological, ophthalmological glaucoma, poor eyesight, anesthesiology, rehabilitation, the centre of urology and andrology were reconstructed and put in correspondence with the sanitary and hygiene norms, as well as the conditions of radial and functional diagnostics were improved. The maternity hospital is provided with all day hot water supply.
Appropriate measures are undertaken here by the orders of minister of
Health of RA “about the definition of medical aid and service order in
medical institutions” (N 1780-A, 16.11.2009) and “about the definition
of hospital medical aid criteria in the frames of free medical aid and
service guaranteed by the State” (N 1806-A, 10.12.2008) for the
fulfillment of demands and conditions applied to the organization of
obstetrician-gynecological aid. According to the fulfillment of those
orders the number of hospital beds has decreased from 80 to 60, creating
more favorable conditions for women in childbirth.
Professional knowledge of medical stuff is deepen
The specific gravity of trained doctors and paramedical stuff is 67%. During the recent years, thanks to the consistent work of the administration, the income of the medical centre increased by over twice, the company's budget increased and made over 1.1 billion drams. Special attention is paid to the patients' medicine service. In 2010 the money for medicine has been 95.5 million drams, which is 8 million drams more in comparison with the previous year. The number of cured patients increased 1,5 times, reaching more than 6 thousand in 2009 thanks to some improvement of material-technical base, providing with medicine, promoting professional qualification level, keeping the norms of behavior.
Ambulatory Polyclinic Institutions
Some work has been done in the ambulatory-polyclinic institutions of the company for the fulfillment of patients' ambulatory medical aid in the frames of government order. High-qualified medical specialists work in all ambulatory-polyclinic institutions. Here are the cabinets of both family doctors (local therapeutists' and pediatricians') and narrow professional, laboratory and functional-instrumental examination.During passed years the number of polyclinic visits has been increased over 3 times, the indicators of early detection and future periodic control of diseases are increased. Polyclinic "Kanaker-Zeytun" MC
The
polyclinic was founded in 1957. Initially it's functioned in the staff
of the 8th medical association, then in the staff of “Zeytun” MC, and
from 2004 to present day in the staff of “Kanaker-Zeytun” MC. It serves
49.230 residents aged over 18.
All
the structural subdivisions set by the founder of the organization
function in the medical institution. The subdivisions are saturated with
necessary specialists. About 40% of the personnel retrained during the
last 5 years. Of 29 doctors 17 ones working with localization principle
are passed residency and another 3 doctors are included in that process.

The maternity hospital of MC CJSC “Kanaker-Zeytun”
In
the staff of “Kanaker-Zeytun” MC CJSC (previous hospital №8) function
the maternity hospital of the same name has functioned since 1957,
which is the only maternity hospital in the administrative districts of
Kanaker-Zeytun and Arabkir. The wards are for 2-3 people, there are also
first class wards. The building is permanently provided with hot and
cold water and central heating.
In
“Kanaker-Zeytun” MC CJSC obstetrician-gynecological service is
provided, which is accomplished in the following departments:
pregnancy diagnostics,
maternity,
post-natal,
new-borns’ physiology,
new-borns’ intensive therapy,
gynecology,
reproduction and family health safe.

1999 the maternity hospital “Kanaker-Zeytun” has become the base of
the department of obstetrics and gynecology of YSMU, where the students
and residents of the university study. The clinic is provided with all
the necessary equipments, which gives an opportunity to the superior
doctors to use modern medical technologies and work in accordance with
the newest achievement of medical science.
Obstetrician-gynecological
interventions and operations are done in maternity hospital. Advisory

Children’s
polyclinic “Arabkir” was founded in 1961. It entered in the structure
of children's clinical hospital “Arabkir”. In 1994 after the liquidation
of children's clinical hospital it became separate children's
polyclinic, and in 2004 it joined “Kanaker-Zeytun” MC CJSC.
The
building of medical institution was repaired in 1997. In 2008 with the
support of the municipality of Arabkir district and the municipality
of Plesi-Robinson (France) the entrance of the building , the
department of registration and stomatological cabinet were repaired.
The
medical institution accomplishes preventive activity providing service
of 0-18 year old children of Arabkir district of Yerevan within the
limits of PHC.
