A tribute of respect to the memory of the Genocide victims
The President of the Republic of Austria Heinz Fischer and his wife who arrived in Armenia with an official visit accompanied by the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan and the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edward Nalbandyan visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and put a wreath at the monument to the innocent victims of the Genocide committed by Ottoman Turkey.
The President of Austria and the members of the delegation also put flowers at the Eternal Flame symbolizing the memory of the victims of the Genocide, then accompanied by the director of the Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan walked about the museum and familiarized themselves with the materials telling about the Genocide.
The President of Austria also planted a memorial fir tree.
