Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan carried out an inspection in Kanaker-Zeitun district

To watch on spot the process of implementation of the programs of the capital development provided for 2012 and to assess the work done the Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan carried out an inspection in the administrative district of Kanaker-Zeitun.

Within the scope of the inspection the Mayor together with the residents participated in the solemn opening of the newly-built yard in the middle part of the buildings 2, 2/1,2/2 in Rubinyants street.

Furnished with playing attractions and sport equipment the landscaped and well-arranged yard was really a big and awaited present for residents for which they expressed gratitude to Taron Margaryan and handed him a thanksgiving diploma made on behalf of all the residents of the mentioned buildings.

The Mayor in his turn congratulating the residents urged them to take care of the area and preserve it. Taron Margaryan also participated in the opening of a newly built yard at Lepsius 6.

As old residents of the area assured their yard used to be uncared for more than half a century, and in the condition of uninterrupted movement of cars a playground was only a dream for children. But today it has become true.

Within the program of improvement the previous "Kitchen garden" area has been separated with kerbs and colourful fence. After the construction a few recreation zones have been created both for children and for grown-ups. Benches, playing attractions and a bower have been placed.

The residents noted that the inspiration was so great that they personally participated in construction activities and now they are thinking of permanent tidiness and landscaping of the area.

At the moment of the Mayor's visit the yard of the buildings 1 and 2 of the 2nd lane of Ulnetsi street was full of children and enthusiastic residents. Besides the arrangement of the yard, the walls of the garages and adjacent buildings have been decorated as well.

Congratulating the residents and hearing out their positive opinions about the yard improvement Taron Margaryan assured that within the following years all the yards of the capital will be improved and landscaped and children will have new playgrounds.

“Today in all the administrative districts yard improvement activities are going on in accordance with fixed schedule. Of course it’s impossible to improve all the yards in the capital within a year or two, but we have started this process and it is obvious to everyone. I assure you that the program will be long-lasting and in a few years there will be no uncared yards and playgrounds. The primary task for us is to create comfortable environment for the residents of Yerevan and we will achieve this goal carrying out purposeful activities towards proportional development of the capital”, said Taron Margaryan.

The responsible persons of the district showed the Mayor the repaired staircase connecting the neighbouring buildings of the lane the construction of which the Mayor watched as early as in April during the inspection visit to this administrative district.

Then the Mayor visited the kindergarten N 151 where repairing activities were being carried out within the framework of the city programs.

Walking about different segments and watching the process Taron Margaryan instructed to start improvement of the yard area in parallel with the repairing.

The Mayor also offered to decorate the surrounding walls providing interesting design for children.

Within the  scope of the visit Taron Margaryan also watched  the process  of overhauling the Culture House situated at David Anhakht 21.

It was reported that classrooms for art sections have been separated in the building which will be furnished with appropriate equipment after finishing the repairing. The Assembly hall and  the stage will be completely reequipped and it will be convenient to stage dance and drama performances and to organize film shows here.

The Mayor also visited the building site of one of the largest road construction programs of this year - the by-pass motorway of 2,5 km length leading from Ulnetsi street to Rubinyants street and on spot watched the work.

Hearing out the reports of the responsible persons regarding the current stage of the work Taron Margaryan instructed to arrange the work so that the activities provided by the first stage will be finished in accordance with the established schedule simultaneously carrying out preparations for the second stage of the program.
