Yerevan Mayor had a meeting with Italian art workers
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the President of the Second International Symposium of Sculpture to be held in Shushi Vigen Avetis and with the art workers arrived in Yerevan from Italy to participate in the symposium.
Greeting the guests among which were professors form the oldest and the most famous academies of art of Italy and free sculptors, Mayor Taron Margaryan first of all expressed gratitude to the initiators and organizers of the event, as well as to the participants for the willingness they had shown and pointed out that due to the Symposium wide perspectives can be created between the cities of Italy and Yerevan directed at strengthening and developing cultural ties between the cities.

"Armenian-Italian relationship is at a rather high level and Armenian and Italian cultural ties have serious historical biography. Yerevan has been cooperating with a number of Italian cities for tens of years. I would gladly note that last year Yerevan and Venice were declared sister cities. The Municipality of Yerevan s always open for cooperation and is ready to discuss propositions for implementation of joint programs in the field of culture", said the Mayor.

Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the President of the Symposium Vigen Avetis highly appreciated the proposal of the Municipality of Yerevan particularly of Mayor Taron Margaryan regarding organization of the symposium noting that the Italian specialists are full of programs and new ideas directed at restoration of historical and cultural values of Artsakh and Shushi. Expressing gratitude to the art workers for the cultural mission held in Artsakh for the second year running Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of the event and expressed confidence that the visit to Yerevan within the scope of the Symposium will promote further cooperation of Armenian and Italian art workers and as well as the implementation of new interesting programs in Yerevan.
