Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the widow of Tonino Guerra
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan received Eleonora Guerra who arrived in Yerevan within the framework of the international film festival "Golden apricot" and the colleagues accompanied her. Greeting the guests the Mayor first of all expressed his respect to the memory of famous scenario writer, poet, painter and sculptor Tonino Guerra and assured his wife that the recollections about Guerra as a friend of the Armenians will stay in the memory of Armenian people for a long time.
Then Taron Margaryan presented in brief the history of the capital and said that today Yerevan is dynamically developing city and the city authorities within their powers do their best to make the city more modern, comfortable and presentable.
"Today Yerevan has a great potential for development and taking into account this fact we have adopted an open and willing working style of expanding the cooperation with our partners. Any investment proposition which may promote proportional development of the capital is welcome and gets appropriate support within our powers", said the Mayor.

Expressing gratitude for warm reception and the respect shown towards the memory of Tonino Guerra, Eleonora Guerra in her turn said that her husband was also famous for his fountain designs and expressed hope that one of these fountains may be built in Yerevan.
The engineer and architect Rita Ronkoni implementing the designs of
fountains by Tonino Guerra was also present at the meeting and presented
Taron Margaryan the photo-album with fountains already built in
accordance with Guerra’s design.
Getting acquainted with the accomplished designs Taron Margaryan offered to discuss these designs with the Chief Architect of Yerevan and to submit a more precise proposal.
