Mayor Tigran Avinyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Kindergarten No. 24 in Yerevan, marking the start of the project by placing a time capsule in the building’s foundation. A new building is being constructed to replace a 90-year-old structure that had fallen into disrepair. The redevelopment will significantly expand the kindergarten’s capacity, increasing the number of classrooms from three to six and allowing 180 children to attend, more than doubling its previous capacity of 80.

Kindergartens No. 138 and No. 74 have reopened in Yerevan following extensive renovation works. The facilities have been modernized with the introduction of energy-efficiency solutions, including the installation of solar panels, water heaters, boilers, and energy-saving lighting.

World Social Work Day was marked at Yerevan Municipality with a panel discussion titled “Social Work as a Shared Commitment.” In his welcoming remarks, Mayor Tigran Avinyan emphasized that social protection remains a priority for the Yerevan Municipality. Continuous efforts are being made to expand social assistance programs and make them more accessible, particularly for the elderly, children, people with disabilities, and families in difficult life circumstances.

At the initiative of the Yerevan Mayor, the “Artist to School” program took place in November–December 2025. As part of the program, People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia and renowned painter Hrant Tadevosyan (Tatos) held a number of masterclasses at 20 municipal art schools in Yerevan, attended by about 1,000 schoolchildren.

Approximately 260,000 square meters of partial-depth pavement repairs were carried out, 551 curb ramps were constructed at 308 locations, 12 specialized multifunctional vacuum trucks, 15 garbage trucks, and around 2,000 plastic waste containers were procured.
