Within the frames of Yerevan Days held in Saint Petersburg from 6 to 8 of September the round-table discussion was held with the participation of the persons in charge for the sphere of health care. The head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Health Kamsar Babinyan presenting the priorities and programs fulfilled in the sphere in Yerevan outlined that consistent work was being carried out during the last year to improve conditions in the medical establishments subordinated to Yerevan Municipality. Stressing the importance of delivering high-quality services to population Kamsar Babinyan informed his Saint Petersburg colleagues that clear program policy is carried out to complete medical establishments with new up-to-date medical equipment.

The representatives of Saint Petersburg government health committee in their turn attaching importance to systematic development of the health care system noted that it’s highly important to apply new technologies and provide medical establishments with new up-to-date equipment to ensure high-quality services.
The parties arranged to expand interaction and develop experience exchange within the programs of cooperation between the cities to improve professional skills.
So, the directors of Yerevan medial centers “Grigor Narekatsi” and “Surb Astvatsamayr”, Anti-tuberculosis dispensary, “Policlinic N15” CJSC and the chief obstetrician-gynecologist visited Saint Petersburg city ambulance station, children’s hospitals N19 and 1, as well as the policlinic of Moskovski district and Anti-tuberculosis dispensary N5,familiarized themselves with the conditions and management system of the establishments and on the spot watched the process of treatment and service of patients. Attaching importance to the necessity of experience exchange the parties expressed willingness to make mutual visits more frequent.
