During the regular working meeting chaired by the First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan, regarding the activities being carried out within the frames of international loan programs, particularly regarding the construction of the road segments Davtashen-Astarak and Babajanyan-Ashtarak it was reported by Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan that the activities are going on in accordance with the determined schedule. It was also noted that that in November of the current year the road segment Davtashen-Ashtarak will be put into operation. The reconstruction and improvement of the park after Komitas is going on within the frames of Yerevan Municipality program for 2018, and the renovation of youth and children art center in Erebuni administrative district is coming to the end. In all mentioned directions it was instructed to carry on the supervision over the quality and time of the work.
It was reported that landscaping, cleaning up and care for green areas are going on as scheduled.
The head of Culture Department reported that “Yerevan summer 2018” program of three-month events had been over. 66 sport and culture events and festivals were held during the program.
It was also reported that within the scope of the month of safe traffic announced from 1 to 30 of September, strengthened supervision is set in teamwork with the Road Police in the areas adjacent to educational establishments.
At the end of the meeting it was reported that according to Paragraph 5, Article 17 of the RA Election Regulations wheelchair access ramps are being constructed at the polling stations to adapt them for people with locomotor disabilities during the special elections for the Council of Elders to be held in September. It was reported that the problem had already been solved in 260 polling stations. The Department of External Design and Advertising, the Department of Communal Services and the heads of administrative districts were instructed by Kamo Areyan to bring to order the advertising boards and areas which will be used during the period of elections.
