The regular meeting of the Council for managing the four-year development program and the annual budget of Yerevan adjunct to the Mayor of Yerevan has taken place in the Municipality of Yerevan. The members of the Council were submitted the 4 items of the agenda.
In particular, the draft of the program of Yerevan’s development in 2015, the draft of the budget of Yerevan as well as the draft decision of the Council of Elders “On establishment of the rates of local duties in the city communities of Yerevan for 2014” were submitted at the meeting. It should be noted that the rates of the duties in the presented draft haven’t changed. The presentation of the new electronic system created with the aim of ensuring the transparency and publicity of the activity of schools has been included in the agenda. Presenting the program the director of the “Technology Management Center of Yerevan” noted that a section “Financial documents” providing information on schools had been added on the official website of the Municipality of Yerevan. This section includes annual income and expenditure budget as well as financial flows. The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Vahe Nikoyan who chaired the meeting stressed that the main direction of development in 2015 is to be the proportional and sustainable development of Yerevan. Thus, taking into account the regularity of the programs of 2014 and the four-year program of the capital’s development a number of new programs are to be realized next year. It was also noted that the projects include the proposals made by the factions of the Council of Elders of Yerevan.
“Keeping the regularity of the priority programs is one of the major tasks for us. In 2015 particular attention is to be paid to social programs and in this context we plan to solve the housing problem of the residents of the buildings with 4 degree of emergency rate. The programs of the following year provide for to finish the program of repairing in libraries, musical schools and cultural centers. By the way the employees of libraries and kindergartens are going to get 20% pay rise. Besides, some programs related to ensuring the availability for people needing special care including not only people with locomotor problems but also hearing and sight disorders are being expanded”, stressed Vahe Nikoyan. During the meeting the members of the Council presented their proposals and attitudes to each problem.
