Yerevan budget for will be increased by 10 milliard drams. The corresponding draft decision was confirmed today by Yerevan Council of Elders. According to the changes made, the employees of the municipal kindergartens will get 20% pay rise, new groups will be opened for 1000 kids, underground pedestrian crossings will be renovated, the system of irrigation will be modernized, some municipal theaters and sport schools will be overhauled, and the Master Plan for Yerevan will be worked out and the facades of architectural constructions will be restaurated. It is also planned to increase the surface of the forest zone by 1- hectares, to fortify damaged blocks of flats, to fence the area of the city dump.

During the meeting the members of the Council also expressed their position regarding the supplemented budget.
The Council of Elders also approved of the draft decision on transferring for trust management the underground parking of Freedom Square. According to the draft automated systems of parking, payment and video observation will be installed. Renovation activities will be fulfilled as well.
