Months of rehearsals, preparations and great expectations. In a few hours the exclusive concert of the symphonic youth orchestra “Yerevan” is going to take place in the courtyard of the National Assembly. The orchestra and choir consisted of nearly 300 students of 25 music and art schools of Yerevan are to perform an exclusive concert program. The works by Armenian composers will be performed.
A premier is also expected during the event. The composition “Yerevan” by distinguished Maestro Tigran Mansuryan created for the orchestra will be presented. The author of lyrics is Karen Antashyan. The open-air concert dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Komitas and 80th anniversary of Tigran Mansuryan takes place today, on July 12, at 20:30. Admission is free.
