During the “Tourist Armenia” award held in the sphere of tourism for the 4th year running by “Armenia Tourism” magazine this year the city tourism program of Yerevan Municipality “Yerevan City Tour” was recognized “Best tourist project of the year”.
The aim of the event is tourism development in Armenia, awarding of the companies recognized best by voting, as well as encouragement of most successful projects.
The head of Yerevan Municipality tourism division Gevorg Orbelyan expressing gratitude for the award said,
“Yerevan City Tour” has been working 6 years and is a unique tourist program in our city which presents the history, the architecture and culture of our capital to numerous tourists and townspeople.
This year within the frames of “Yerevan City Tour” the route “Night Yerevan” has been put into operation too and it makes it possible to enjoy the bright charm of Yerevan nights.
The awarding ceremony consisted of two stages and was held in 12 nominations: “Best adventurous project”, “Preservation of national traditions project”, “Best tourist project”, “Best guide”, “Best transportation organization”, “Best museum”, “Best rest house”, “Best ingoing tour operator”, “Best restaurant”, “Best hotel of Artsakh”, “Best hotel of Armenia”, “Best health resort city”.
Representatives of government, diplomatic missions, business structures, spheres of culture and science as well as honorary guests were present at the event.
