In accordance with the agreement between the Municipality of Yerevan and the NKR Ministry of Defence 95 fixed-period military men got the opportunity to meet their parents and relatives in Yerevan. This time the program which is carried out to strengthen the relation between the army and society and to encourage the distinguished military men has involved the servicemen from the districts of Shengavit, Erebuni and Nubarashen. Taron Margaryan noted that this successful cooperation between the Municipality of Yerevan and the ministries of defence of the RA and NKR makes it possible to implement various programs of social significance ensuring meetings of servicemen and their relatives. During the event organized on the occasion of the meeting at which Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, NKR Minister of Defence, Lieutenant General Movses Hakobyan and other officials were present, the "Aspet" ensemble performed. Those present watched the film "The army is our home" made by the division of information and propaganda of the NKR Army of Defence. The NKR Minister Movses Hakobyan in his greeting speech stressed the effectiveness of cooperation with the Municipality of Yerevan. Then the parents of the servicemen were handed thanksgiving diplomas and their sons were encouraged with a five-day holiday. It should be noted that the same action was performed with the distinguished servicemen from the districts of Arabkir, Kanaker, Malatia Sebastia, Nor Nork and Avan.
