During the special meeting convened on December 23 the Council of Elders of Yerevan approved the draft decision on the changes in the budget of Yerevan. The regular conference of the Council of Elders of Yerevan took place afterwards during which the program of Yerevan development for 2015 was submitted. It was noted that the program had been made up taking into account the priorities and existing problems of the four-year program of Yerevan development for 2014-2017.
According to the head of the Department of Development and Investment Program of the Municipality of Yerevan Armen Harutyunyan particular importance is attached to the creation of improved and convenient environment in the capital both for the residents and for the guests of the capital especially regarding creation of recreation zones, green areas expansion, improvement of buildings and yard areas, external design corresponding to modern standards, providing of safe and comfortable traffic.
The Council of Elders of Yerevan confirmed by the majority of votes the program of Yerevan development for 2015. Besides, by the decision of the Council the rates for local duties in city communities of Yerevan have been established. The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Vahe Nikoyan submitted to the Council the draft decision "On the budget of Yerevan for 2015" according to which the incomes anticipated in the amount of AMD 71,870,838.3. The Council of Elders confirmed the budget of Yerevan for 2015 with 40 votes for, 1 against and 14 abstainers. The Council unanimously voted for the draft decision on on-line broadcast of the meetings of the Council of Elders on the official website of the Municipality of Yerevan. Thus, the Council of Elders of Yerevan finished the activities of the 4th session.
