“Electric Transport of Yerevan” company to have 15 more new and modern trolleybuses
The “Electric Transport of Yerevan” company is getting replenished with new vehicles. The tender for procurement of 15 more new modern trolleybuses has been held.

The community bus fleet will have 10 new buses as well. The process is currently on the stage of signing contracts.

Yerevan Municipality intends to add 250 electric buses to the community fleet. Negotiations are going on with international partners to fulfil the project.
Tigran Avinyan explained that procurement of new modern vehicles id an important component of the transport network. Next year, Higer buses reach their expiration date, thus the buses of that make must be replaced with new ones. Besides, there is a problem related to private itineraries: they need replacement as well, thus the mentioned above 250 buses will cover the demand of the transport system. Separation of special bus lanes will be continued this year which will make public transport work faster. The next step is the installation of the unified ticket system which is planned to be completed by September. The Mayor stressed that the changes from cash to non-cash payment of fares should be started from today.

A new building of the children and youth sport school of Gymnastics of Olympic reserve after Albert Azaryan will be built in the area of 15500 sq m adjacent to “Hrazdan” stadium. The development of design and estimate documentation has been completed. It was instructed to organize the implementation of the project so that in 2027 the European Championships in men's and women's gymnastics planned in Yerevan will be held in the new gym. The sports complex will meet all modern standards for organizing training and international tournaments.

Greening of the area adjacent to Yerevan Lake is going on. The zone will stand out with its new design; a dripping irrigation system will be installed, the design will be in harmony with the surrounding landscape.

The renovation of the segment of 2500 sq m near St Gregory the Illuminator church has reached its final phase. The recreation zone will have an environment tuned with the general area with fountains, water basins, external illumination with energy saving lamps, benches.

The experience of private kindergartens is being observed to be applied in municipal preschools. It was instructed to increase the requirements and supervision mechanisms in parallel with the improvement of the sphere.
The Mayor also stressed that all municipal kindergartens should be equipped with video cameras. Yerevan Municipality must be sure that all favourable conditions have been provided for children in preschools.
