The issues related to the development of business ties, possibilities of implementation of joint projects between Yerevan and Saxony-Anhalt state of Germany were discussed during the meeting of the First Deputy Mayor, Acting Mayor of Yerevan Levon Hovhannisyan with the delegation headed by the President of Saxony-Anhalt Landtag Gunnar Schellenberger. The RA Honorary Consul in Saxony-Anhalt state of Germany Lucas Flother took part in the meeting as well. Touching upon the programs of city development Levon Hovhannisyan marked that taking into account the high level of Armenian-German relationship, the Municipality is willing to consider mutually beneficial investment projects.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet Gunnar Schellenberger outlined the interest of their entrepreneurs in cooperation in various fields. Proposals for cooperation in the spheres of education and health care as well as experience exchange projects were made.
Referring to the Memorandum of Intentions signed between Yerevan and Leipzig city of Saxony-Anhalt state in 2021 the German party expressed hope that the document could serve a basis for developing interaction and invited their Yerevan colleagues to Germany.
