5th Yerevan Beer Fest had more than 10 000 visitors

Among the actions dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan which are initiated by Yerevan Municipality the 5th Beer Fest was held in the area of Swan’s Lake. The three-thousand-year history of Armenian brewing was presented in three languages during the event.
Yerevan Mayor’s Assistant coordinating the sphere of tourism, the director of the festival Maria Baraghamyan, referring to the results of the festival stressed that according to the statistics, this project carried out within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2018” program of three-month events is one of the most popular with townspeople and those who visit Yerevan and this year the festival had more than 10 000 visitors. The First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan and deputy mayors visited the festival and toured about the pavilions together with Maria Baraghamyan.
This year 10 leading Armenian breweries took part in the fest: “Yerevan Beer” this year was represented with “Kilikia dark”, “Kilikia light” and “Yerevan” sorts of beer; “Gyumri” brewery-with the same name sort of beer, “Kotayk” brewery-with “Kotayk”, “Kotayk gold” and “Erebuni” sorts. Beer Academy was represented with “Classic”, “Light wheat” and “Dark” sorts, “Dilijan” brewery –with “Dilijan” and “Dilijan 1” sorts of beer. “Tovmas” Armenian brewery, which had taken part in the fest for the first time, presented its unfiltered (light classic) beer. “Alaverdi” brewery offered the visitors Alaverdi tank beer.
Traditionally, pubs and beer restaurants took part in the 5th Beer Fest and offered their wide assortment of beer and snacks. “Wild West” presented its same-name production; “Karloff” restaurant offered locally produced Czech “Karloff” beer. “BeerMania” pub-café presented “Keller” beer made at Sevan brewery. the persons in charge of the companies stated that this year the festival outstood with unprecedented number of visitors, so the it became possible to present Armenian beer to a big number of tourists who appreciated the taste of Armenian beer.
More than 50 funny contests were organized for visitors. The winners got diplomas and incentive presents.
The festival lasted 5 hours and was accompanied with popular Armenian singers: Anna Khachatryan, Anahit Shahbazyan, Nare grigoryan, Rippi, “Milen show-ballet” dance group and “Alexandropol” band. Special guest of the fest was Aram MP3. The party was completed with the rhythmic music of DJ Soko.
The townspeople and tourists participating in the event stressed that they enjoyed the festival greatly and it can become even more popular. At the end of the event all the participants of the festival got thanksgiving diplomas from the director of the festival Maria Baraghamyan. The event lasted till late evening was finished with the symbolic countdown so as to meet the next year again.
