Today the world is marking Press Freedom Day and I congratulate you on the event.
At the modern stage of world development, when the participation of the society in making decisions of state significance is becoming increasingly important, the role of mass media as a source of information and as an efficient means of protecting the freedom of speech and human rights is becoming more and more responsible.
Today many representatives of information sphere of Armenia bear with dignity their responsible title and with their high professional qualities draw public attention to more actual problems which later become a precedent and change people, stereotype thinking and our reality. And it's no coincidence that you are rightly considered to be the fourth power.
On the event of the World Press Freedom Day I wish you strong health, creative success and new achievements. I also wish you to carry on with dignity your important professional activity.
