Dear grandmothers and grandfathers
The progressive countries of the world mark this day as the international day of the elderly. The respect for the elderly is one of our national features so we should honour and appreciate our grandparents each day of our life.
It’s not a secret that you, dear old people, are always worth special attention and respect wherever you are. You have deserved respectful attitude with your experience and wisdom, which is even as a piece of advice serve us, help in the issue of making our country and our big home Yerevan more prosperous.

There is still a lot to be done to relieve the social and psychological burden you have to bear. But be sure that the Municipality of Yerevan within its powers is trying to do its best to provide appropriate living conditions for you. With this aim we have been implementing various social, cultural and other programs the only target of which is to increase the quality of your life. Your are always at the focus of attention of the Municipality and personally mine and we will go on doing everything to provide carefree old age for you. I wish you a long healthy life full of caring and kind attitude and family warmth. Live long, dears, we need you with your strictness and solid advice.
