Dear employees of the bodies of local self-governance,

I congratulate all of you on the Day of Local Self-Governance.
The system of local-self-governance was installed in Armenia more than twenty years ago and during these years it not only succeeded but also became one of the most important components of state governance. Being the main link providing the ties between citizens and state local self-governance bodies every day face various problems of citizen’s concern and the employees of the BSG are always ready to show necessary support and assistance contributing to citizens’ trust increase towards the bodies of self-governance. It can be stated that this aspect is the biggest achievement of the system.
No doubt that any state is strong first of all due to its successful communities which in its turn ensures sustainable development of the country. In this context it is highly important that bodied of self-governance provide active and direct participation of citizens in making of the decisions vital for the community and their implementation. Taking into account that we have achieved noticeable progress in this regard I am sure that together with our citizens, with mutual trust and respect we will be able to make the activity of BSG more transparent and effective.
