Municipal sport schools have been complemented with new sport equipment corresponding to international standards
For the third year running, at the initiative of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the community-owned sport schools have been complemented with new modern equipment. Yerevan Mayor was present at the ceremony of handing in the equipment. Accompanied by the directors of the sport schools Taron Margaryan familiarized himself with the purchased new equipment. The persons in charge informed that new professional bicycles were purchased for cycling development; boxing gloves, punching bags, wrestling mats and other appliances, rods, basketballs, volleyballs, footballs an handballs, chess tables, skates as well as 2 tennis tables provided for the blind. Besides, the first aid medical rooms of all municipal sport schools were provided with necessary equipment.
Appreciating the attention of Yerevan Mayor to sport establishments of the capital the directors of sport schools noted that these establishments used to be deprived of the opportunity to have proper equipment and it was a serious problem for proper organization of children's trainings. They noted that during the last three years Yerevan Municipality carried out consistent work to provide sport schools with appropriate equipment corresponding to international standards and proper facilities for comfortable work of sportsmen and coaches.
Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn assured that this policy aimed at the improvement of the sphere of sport will be continued.
The Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the RA NA vice-president Edward Sharmazanov watched the performance of the figure skaters and hockey players at Irina Rodnina figure skating school.
