Awards and honorary titles from Yerevan Mayor on the event of Teacher’s Day

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the RA Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan were present at the festive event dedicated to Teacher’s Day in the concert hall after Aram Khachatryan.

In his greeting speech Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan congratulated teachers on the professional holiday and wished them strong health,family and personal happiness and many occasions to feel proud of their pupils.
“Be sure that the mission you have assumed and carry out with honour is appreciated not only in words and with awards. We appreciate the work of each teacher every day as you have always undertaken the issue of education and upbringing of patriotic generations. And I believe that the system of education we have created thanks to your devoted work will provide the current and future generations with knowledge which will serve development and prosperity of our country. I assure you that our country will go on encouraging all the specialists doing their wok with devotion. Thank you for your faithful work”, said Taron Margaryan.
It should be noted that at the instruction of Yerevan Mayor the contest for the title of best school principal,best teacher and best nurse was organized for the second time. The diplomas were handed to the winners by Mayor Taron Margaryan. The title of the best school principal of Yerevan in the academic year of 2016-2017 was awarded to the principal of the basic school N155 after L.Mirijanyan Lusine Danielyan; the title of the best teacher of Yerevan was awarded to the teacher of the Armenian language and literature of the basic school N199 Karen Asatryan. In the nomination of the best nurse of Yerevan was awarded the nurse of the kindergarten N56 Karine Petrosyan.
During the festive event organized on the event of Teacher’s Day, for the contribution to the sphere of education and significant achievements the medal “Honorary teacher of Yerevan” was awarded to the nurse of kindergarten N23 Mariam Aharonyan and to History teacher of the basic school, N166 after A.Mikoyan Tamara Khachatryan. The principal of the basic school N12 after V.Hambardzumyan Vladimir Stepanyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold medal.
The festive event dedicated to Teacher’s Day was accompanied by the concert program during which talented pupils of cultural and educational centers of the capital congratulated the teachers.
