In all the schools subordinated to the Municipality of Yerevan the new academic year has started with festive events. On the Mayor’s instruction the officials of the Municipality visited different schools of the capital and conveyed the address of the Mayor to the teachers, pupils and their parents. The First deputy Mayor Kamo Areyan was present at the event in the school N 8 after Pushkin. On behalf of Mayor Taron Margaryan he congratulated the teachers, pupils and their parents on the 1st of September and stressed the important role and mission of schools in the process of establishment of a developed and educated society.

The educational center after H. Kojoyan subordinated to the Municipality, was visited by Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan. In his greeting speech the Deputy Mayor noted that taking into account the cultural status of the center it is at permanent focus of attention of the Municipality. Deputy Mayor David Ohanyan took part in the festive event in the school N 52 after Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and wished everybody success in the new academic year.

The Staff Secretary Sergey Makaryan and the head of the Department of General Education Gayane Soghomonyan visited the school N 29 after Andranik Margaryan and took part in the festive event. Together with the guests, parents and pupils of the school the representatives of the Municipality put flowers at the bust of Andranik Margaryan.

After the event the teachers accompanied the pupils of the first form into the school and delivered the first lesson of the new school year. In their turn the pupils promised to do well and to uphold the honour of their native school and beloved capital.
