Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the RA H.E. Seyyed Kazem Sajjad.

Greeting the guest the Mayor stressed the importance of cooperation development with the cities and towns of Iran and expressed confidence that the Ambassadors of the two countries contribute to strengthening the ties.
In his turn Ambassador Sajjad congratulated the Mayor on taking the Mayor’s office and congratulated the townspeople on the coming Christmas holidays. The Ambassador also noted that after the liberalization of the visa procedure with Iran the flows of tourists from Iran to Yerevan had increased. The visits of Armenians to Iran have become more frequent as well.
Stressing the importance of tight relationship between the two nations the parties discussed the issues related to joint cultural and business projects.
