Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the event dedicated to the 55th foundation anniversary of Yerevan basic school N128 after Leo Tolstoy. Within the frames of the solemn ceremony the pupils of the school presented the more than fifty-year history of the school: the stages of development, achievements and new programs. A film telling about the teachers contributing to the development and keeping the traditions of the school was shown as well. 

Greeting those present and congratulating them on the 55th anniversary of foundation Mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude to the teacher for patriotic upbringing and education of generations.
« “I want to thank all the teachers who throughout these 55 years carried out their mission to bring up generations faithful to their homeland, worthy citizens of our country who are entrusted to provide the development of our state I am sure that the pupils of this school will achieve big heights upholding the honour of their native school. Be sure that Yerevan Municipality will always support the cultural and educational centers of the capital”, said Yerevan Mayor.
On the event of the 55th anniversary of foundation of the basic school N128 after Leo Tolstoy, for the services in their pedagogical and educational activity and many-year work a number of teachers were awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s honorary diplomas.
