Within the scope of cooperation established between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg active interaction is also developed in the sphere of education. The issues related to the process of implementation of joint project were discussed by the persons in charge for the sphere of education. Outlining the importance of the cooperation established between a number of Yerevan and Saint Petersburg schools, the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education Anna Stepanyan noted that Yerevan basic school N181 and Saint Petersburg school N489 were added to this list. According to the signed memorandum these schools will develop tight cooperation and experience exchange.

The head of Saint Petersburg government education committee Zhanna Vorobyova in her turn outlined that within the frames of successful cooperation between the two cities numerous programs are being fulfilled in teachers’ experience exchange, organization of online classes between pupils, as well as in replenishment of library fund of the schools.
The parties arranged to carry on tight interaction. Afterwards the members of Yerevan delegation together with their Saint Petersburg colleagues visited a number of educational establishments in the northern capital of the RF.
