Within the frames of the official visit to Stepanakert the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with their colleagues from the Artsakh capital.

Greeting the Mayor of Yerevan and the members of the delegation the Mayor of Stepanakert Suren Grigoryan presented in brief the results of the cooperation established between the two capitals and thanked Taron Margaryan for permanent willingness in strengthening and expanding the effective cooperation. «Two years ago Yerevan held a helping hand to Stepanakert and today this cooperation is developing successfully in all directions. And your personal contribution to this issue is really great and I would like to thank you and the whole staff of the Municipality on behalf of the residents of Stepanakert for your efforts in strengthening the effective cooperation», said Suren Grigoryan
Expressing gratitude for warm reception Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn noted that the establishment of bilateral cooperation between the two Armenian capitals was a necessity as Stepanakert is not only a sister city of Yerevan but a native hearth as well. «Cooperation expansion with Stepanakert has not only a business significance but a moral meaning as well. The systematic coordinated work of the working teams has given noticeable results. And as the cooperation agreement is going to be expired I suggest updating it and signing it for four years I am sure that due to our cooperation we will record significant results», said Taron Margaryan. Stepanakert Mayor Suren Grigoryan informed Taron Margaryan that it was determined to mark every third Saturday of September as the day of Stepanakert foundation and taking the advantage he invited the Mayor of Yerevan to the capital of NKR to celebrate this day together.
