Yerevan welcomes the pupils arrived from Saint -Petersburg

Within the frames of the cooperation program between Yerevan and Saint Peterbsurg the pupils and teachers of the secondary school N619 of Saint Petersburg visited Yerevan. At Yerevan History Museum they were welcomed by the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of General Education Anna Stepanyan. Greeting the guests on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Anna Stepanyan attached particular importance to such events carried out within the frames of cooperation between the capital of Armenia and the northern capital of Russia which promote strengthening bilateral ties in the spheres of culture and education. In Yerevan History Museum the guests from Saint Petersburg familiarized themselves with the centuries-old history and rich culture of the capital, and then they made a surprize singing the anthem of Yerevan. At the initiative of Yerevan Municipality tourism unit a tour round the sights of the capital was organized for the guests on the buses of “Yerevan City Tour”. The guests from the RF will stay in Yerevan till November 20. During this time they will familiarize themselves with the historical and cultural monuments and sights of the capital, visit the Memorial Complex “Tsitsernakaberd”, the Museum of the Armenian Genocide, as well as together with Armenian pupils will take part in joint classes in Yerevan basic school N8 after A.S.Pushkin.
