The RA President, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University Serzh Sargsyan together with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan took part in the ceremony of laying the foundation of a new block of flats in Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. This residential complex will be built within the frames of the social program of housing “Available housing for young specialists of “Union of YSU graduates” NGO. The President of the Republic familiarized himself with the building projects and details of the program. 210 flats are planned to be built in this multifunctional complex and provided to young specialists at the price lower than market price. Total costs of this program are 4,7 million AMD.
Afterwards Serzh Sargsyan together with Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening the multi-functional residential complex in Paruyr Sevak street which was built within the scope of social program “Zeytun 2”. During the event the “Union of YSU graduates” NGO summarized the results of the ten-year realization of the social program of young families housing which is implemented under the patronage of the head of the republic.
According to the persons in charge, the number of built and planned for construction flats is 3302, total costs are approximately 100 milliard AMD. Currently the number of built and being built flats is 2012 and the costs are 43.25 milliard AMD.
The President of the Republic walked about the premises of the complex, familiarized himself with the work done and housing conditions as well as took part in the housewarming event of a young family. During the event the President was presented the project of another youth living quarter “Veratsnund” (“Rebirth”) the construction of which starts in May of 2018 and will be over in September 2021. 1080 flats will be built here.
President Sargsyan also familiarized himself with the process of construction of the sport complex “InSport” which will be provided for organization of active recreation and entertainment of young families within the frames of the social program “Zeytun 1,2 and 3” presented by the “Union of YSU graduates” NGO. Total costs of the construction of the sport complex will be 1.72 milliard AMD and the opening is scheduled for September 2018.
