Exhibition “ I am drawing Saint Petersburg” has opened in Yerevan City Hall

Within the frames of “Saint Petersburg Days in Yerevan” program the exhibition of the works won in the international contest of children's drawings called “I am drawing Saint Petersburg” has been held in the City Hall of Yerevan. Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko watched the 40 exhibited drawings. It should be noted that 14 pictures of the presented 40 works were created by Armenian children and their works were separated by the jury of the international children's contest dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishment of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The pupils of the culture centers of the capital depicted everyday life of the dwellers of the northern capital of Russia and its rich culture.
The authors of the won works were awarded by Saint Petersburg governor Georgi Poltavchenko. The children also got the opportunity to visit Saint Petersburg.
Answering the journalists' questions Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Saint Petersburg governor Georgi Poltavchenko noted that they had discussed the process of implementation of the program of cooperation for 2015-2017 signed between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg two years ago. According to Taron Margaryan and Georgi Poltavchenko, within the frames of “Saint Petersburg Days in Yerevan” program the working groups of the two parties are actively working organizing round-table discussions with the participation of the representatives of the spheres of trade, tourism, museology, healthcare and education. As a good example of successful cooperation they outlined the growth of the volumes of turnover rates between Yerevan and Saint Petersburg which plays an important role in economic development of the two cities. In this context the parties attached importance to the construction of Yerevan House in Saint Petersburg which will contribute not only to turnover growth but also to tourism development and realization of investment programs.
