Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan met with the President of the International Paralympic Committee Andrew Parson. Greeting the guest, the Mayor said that he attaches importance to the development of parasport centers in the capital. The Mayor noted with regret that up to now, of more than 40 sport schools of the capital only 2 ones are more or less adapted for people with disabilities. He also informed that in the beginning of 2019 Yerevan schools are starting inclusive education and in this context it will become possible to pay more attention to parasport.

The parties came to an agreement to start activities aimed at the construction of Paralympic sport center in Yerevan attracting the means of the international and local donors. Mayor Hayk Marutyan expressed willingness to show support in involvement of inclusive sport programs inYerevan schools.
