Within the frames of building and improvement activities provided by the Municipality of Yerevan for 2014 overhauling and current repairing activities are going in the streets, sidewalks and yard areas. This was reported to Mayor Taron Margaryan during the regular working conference. The Mayor instructed to activate asphalting activities setting proper control over the quality of implementation.
Referring to illegal construction prevention the head of the Department of Trade and Services reported that the previous week 9 cases of violation had been revealed and administrative records had been drawn up. The Mayor instructed the heads of the administrative districts to strengthen the activities in this direction and to set 24-hour control to exclude illegal open-air trade.
Regarding the landscaping going on in the capital it was reported that the process of treating trees, mowing lawns and refreshing the flowers was going on. The Mayor instructed to activate the process. “Landscaping requires permanent systematic work and care therefore the control in this direction should be uninterrupted. This year we have expanded the irrigation system by 20 km. This is a big achievement from the point of view of landscaping organization. Thus, more attention should be paid to green areas, particularly to their creation and preservation. The activities are still unsatisfactory and you should be stricter in this regard. Besides the leaders of landscaping companies the persons in charge of the administrative districts also have a lot to do. They should be on the places in person and watch how the process is arranged”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Regarding the phone calls received by the hot lines functioning in corresponding subdivisions of the Municipality and in the staffs of the heads of administrative districts it was reported that the previous week 179 and 100 phone calls had been received correspondingly. 201 issues got their answers, others are being processed.
The head of the Department of Health Care reported that on the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan permanent control is set over the proper organization of the work in medical establishments. It was also reported that the number of people applied to policlinics was 34227. :Ambulance” service registered 4361 calls. The number of births in the capital has made up 508 children:247 boys and 261 girls. The Mayor instructed to make preparations to organize free medical action from August 1 till 15 within the frames of “Yerevan summer” project.
At the end of the conference the reports on the work of some subdivisions of the Municipality within the first half of the year were made.
Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan reported on the work done in the spheres of general education, culture and tourism, sport, as well as family, women and children’s rights defence. Deputy Mayor David Ohanyan presented the report on the work done in the spheres of health care, trade and services, external design and advertisement, as well as the work implemented by “The Center for Management Technologies of Yerevan” CJSC.
The reports on the spheres of foreign relations, particularly the cooperation with sister and partner cities of Yerevan were presents by the Chief Advisor to the Mayor Vano Vardanyan.
