During the regular working meeting in the City Hall, to meet Yerevan Mayor’s instruction, with the aim of transport flows relief in central streets of the capital certain changes are made at the junctions in schemes of traffic lights work in teamwork with the Rod police. Thus, at some junctions of the capital, uninterrupted movement to the right has already been provided. Giving positive estimates to the mentioned activities aimed at traffic relief Mayor Taron Margaryan drew the attention of persons in charge for the sphere to the circumstance that the areas allotted for paid parking zones at some junctions where uninterrupted traffic to the right has been installed create certain difficulties for drivers.
“In teamwork with the Road police we regularly discuss and try to relieve the streets of the capital due to some changes. In this regard we have already reached some positive results in providing uninterrupted traffic to the right. However some problems emerge because of the paid parking zones location near junctions. They cause difficulties for drivers. therefore, we must study the problem and list all such junctions and to reconsider the permissions given for parking arrangement in these areas allotting for them such areas where the traffic would not be hindered”, said Mayor Taron Margaryan.
