During the regular working conference in the City Hall Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was reported that the process of cleaning and improvement of the areas in bad sanitary condition is going on in the capital. Of 128 areas inventoried beforehand 87 ones have already been cleaned up. The Mayor instructed the persons in charge to keep the process under permanent control and to take appropriate measures towards those who fail meeting their obligations.
The clean-up and waste removal processes are going on in the streets, sidewalks, parks and squares of the capital. Having stressed that the results of the work are not satisfactory yet, Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the administrative districts and the persons in charge to set personal control over the process of implementation. The head of the Department of Urban Development and Land Control reported that the control over the process of arrangement of building sites is still going on. In case of revealing any violations corresponding disciplinary acts are drawn up.
Within the scope of the conference Mayor Taron Margaryan referred to the problem of the dwellers of the 4th emergency rate building at Baghramyan 15, 4th lane. “As far back as in 2008 the residents of this building were offered flats, But they refused to move explaining that the construction of those flats doesn’t satisfy them. Thus, the process of resettlement was stopped. But today we are ready to discuss this issue again particularly taking into account that we have already started the construction of 4 blocks of flats for the dwellers of the buildings with high emergency rate. These houses will be put into operation in 2015. About 500 families will be provided with new flats”, said Taron Margaryan and instructed tha persons in charge to organize a meeting with the dwellers of the mentioned building.
The head of the Department of Trade and Services reported that with the aim of setting control over the activity of butchers’ stalls in Khorenatsi street a special commission had been formed which carries out regular inspections.
The head of the Department of Purchases reported that in the first quarter of 2014, in accordance with the order determined by legislation the programs for purchasing for 429 municipality subordinated organizations had been studied and published, within the frames of which AMD 1 milliard had been saved as a result of proper management of the process of purchasing.
It was reported that preparations for the solemn opening of the Yerevan Zoo as well as the process of improvement of its area are going to be over.
On the occasion of the international days of dances and jazz on April 29 and April 30 the Myor instructed to take measures aimed at proper organization and holding of the events.
