During the regular weekly working meeting in Yerevan City Hall which was chaired by the First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan it was reported that the renovation activities to be fulfilled within the frames of the Municipality program provided for 2018 are going on in the buildings of pre-schools, medical, cultural establishments, yard areas and playgrounds; in the direction of improvement and asphalting of streets, construction of wheelchair ramps, repairing of damaged balconies; renovation of entries, flat and slope roofs. Corresponding departments of the staff and the heads of administrative districts were assigned to activate the work in all direction so as to complete them timely and with proper quality. Kamo Areyan also instructed to set supervision over the activity of technical inspectors once again reminding that they are responsible for the final results of the activities. In this context it was instructed to set rigid control over the effective use of financial means.
As regards cases of dumping household and building wastes in improper places the head of Legal Department reported that 6 protocols had been drawn up the previous week. Once again expressing discontent and anxiety with the work of “Sanitek” company Kamo Areyan instructed to activate the work and to centralize all the resources to ensure proper services which means not only trash removal but also disinfection of dustbins and refuse chutes.
Kamo Areyan also instructed the heads of administrative districts to strengthen everyday control over territorial divisions of family support to ensure their targeted significance and to exclude any corruption risks. The heads of social support divisions will take the responsibility of legal management of each case.
Kamo Areyan also instructed to study the carrousels and sport equipment in all playgrounds of the yard areas to ensure their safety and to fix them wherever necessary.
Referring to the road construction process financed by the Asian Development Bank, Kamo Areyan instructed the director of “Yerqaghluys” CJSC Vardan Gabrielyan, the head of Urban Sustainable Development investment program Nora Martirosyan to study and complete the replacement of the headwalls and cable network on the new road segment of Ashtarak highway. The Department of External Design and Advertising and the Legal Department were instructed to carry out replacement and if necessary dismantling of advertisement boards in the mentioned above area.
