Memory tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War
On May 9 the area of Mother Armenia memorial was crowded. On 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War the RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, His Holiness All Armenian Catholicos Garegin II, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, other officials, top officers and numerous citizens traditionally visited here together with veterans. Those present laid flowers at the Eternal Fire, rendered the memory tribute to the fallen in the Great Patriotic War. The official part of the event organized on the Victory Day was finished with the solemn military parade.
Mayor Taron Margaryan traditionally visited the military tent kitchen and shared the symbolic 100 grams and soldiers' bread with the veterans.
