Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Armenia H.E. Mohamed Al Zaabi. Greeting the guest, the Mayor congratulated him on starting his diplomatic mission in Armenia and expressed hope that due to the cooperation with the Embassy the friendly relationship between Yerevan and the cities of the UAE will develop.

Ambassador Al Zaabi noted that about 500 organizations of the UAE carry out their activity in Armenia, and most of them-in Yerevan. The Ambassador expressed hope that taking into account the convenient conditions in the city, their number will increase. In particular, according to the Ambassador, there is wide field for cooperation in the spheres of new technologies, tourism, architecture, modern building development, landscaping and others.
The parties noted that a number of issues related to Yerevan will be discussed during the inter-governmental cooperation conference of the RA and UAE to be held in May.
