Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan welcomed the member of the House of Lords of Great Britain, head of the Institute for Global Health Innovation at Imperial College London, Professor Ara Darzi. Attaching particular importance to the Professor’s contribution to the improvement of the system of healthcare of Great Britain and to recognition of innovation ideas worldwide, Mayor Marutyan expressed hope that Mr. Ara Derzi will also contribute to the development of the health system on Yerevan.
“It’s a great honour for us to host you at the City Hall of Yerevan, and we expect that these interactions will promote continuative collaboration. I am sure that sharing your knowledge and experience will contribute greatly to the system of health of Yerevan”, said the Mayor.
Lord Ara Darzi expressed willingness to share his knowledge and experience to be useful for the improvement of healthcare system of Yerevan.
Mr. Ara Darzi is also Executive Chair of the World Innovation Summit for Health in Qatar and the Consultant Surgeon at Royal Marsden hospitals. Up today he has authored more than 1000 research works particularly in laparoscopic surgery and innovative technology use.
