Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan received the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Armenia H.E. Lynne M. Tracy.

Congratulating the Ambassador on starting the diplomatic mission in our country, Mayor Marutyan noted that Yerevan attaches importance to the cooperation with the US cities. The Mayor presented the main priorities and problems of Yerevan ad expressed hope that the American party will participate in the programs of the city development.
“I am sure that the cooperation between Yerevan Municipality and US. Embassy to Armenia will be of continuative character. In its turn, the Municipality is ready to assist within its powers to the Embassy”, mentioned Hayk Marutyan.
The US Ambassador to Armenia also stressed the importance of cooperation between the bodies of self-governance of the USA and RA and noted that the Embassy will promote development of the established cooperation.
“The United States keeps on supporting the development of the system of local self-governance in Armenia. I am glad to meet you and would like to confirm our willingness for further cooperation with the Municipality of Yerevan”, said the Ambassador.
