The “Yerazi Tun” (“Dream House”) centre for inclusive development has its second building. By the decision of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, last year the community-owned area was allotted for 10-year period of free use to the benevolent public organization called “Hay Mayrer” (“Armenian Mothers”). Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan visited the “Yerazi Tun 2” to familiarize himself with the conditions of the premises.
“Ms Manukyan, first of all I want to express gratitude to you. I have heard a lot about your centre and the activity you have carried out, and knowing your devotion I was sure that this center would serve its goal after it had been completed. I am also grateful to Mr. Sukiasyan who realized the importance of this building for Yerevan and its residents, and showed the full support of his family. I attach importance to providing inclusiveness since early childhood, and this centre is aimed at this goal”, stressed the Mayor.
The overhauling and furnishing of the centre is provided by “The Sukiasyan” benevolent centre. Annually it can ensure inclusive entertainment for 200 children residing in Yerevan via combining rehabilitation therapy and interesting games. The president of “Hay Mayrer” NGO, director of “Yerazi Tun-“ centre Narine Manukyan noted that their aim is to integrate disabled children aged 2-7 into society.
The centre will have rooms for a speech specialist, a psychologist, a special instructor as well as for ergotherapy , where children will et relevant services; in two separate gyms children will have their trainings. Besides, it is planned to have a special classroom called “ Profession for mothers of disabled children” where mothers can get skills within the frames of the benevolent program to work and get income.
Children will get an exciting leisure time in the bright-coloured and warm rooms. The authors of the initiative assure that dreams come true in “Yerazi Tun”.
