Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the delegation headed by the Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Zhang Wencai. Highly appreciating the cooperation with the ADB Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that within the frames of interaction with the bank all the outlined programs are being successfully developed.
“Since 2012 Yerevan Municipality has been actively cooperated with the Asian Development bank and the established cooperation is really successful which is proved by jointly fulfiled programs and their continuity. In this context the construction of the bypass road of Yerevan is being fulfilled. Taking the opportunity I’d like to express my gratitude to the Armenian team of the bank which together with us is working day and night so that all the outlined programs would be accomplished properly and on time”, said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome the Vice-President of the Asian Development Bank Zhang Wencai in his turn expressed satisfaction with the pace of realization of the joint programs and their results and stressed that Yerevan Municipality is a reliable and serious partner for Bank.
“Excellent relationship has been established between Asian Development Bank and Yerevan Municipality which makes it possible to accomplish all the programs and to start new projects. Mister Mayor, I have familiarized myself with the process of construction of the motorway ad taking the opportunity would like to express my satisfaction with the results of joint work due to which proper organization and the quality of work have been ensured. I’s also like to assure you that Yerevan is an important partner for us and we express our willingness to carry on the cooperation expanding the programs and their directions”, said Zhang Wencai.
Referring to the expansion of the frames and directions of cooperation Mayor Taron Margaryan attached particular importance to the realization of the programs aimed at public transport reforms and modernization of lifts facilities. He also stressed that in these two direction Yerevan is going to take concrete steps within the scope of which active participation of the Asian Development Bank is anticipated. The Vice-President of the ADB Zhang Wencai assured that in this issue the bank is ready to show assistance to Yerevan Municipality.
