Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan who is in Marseille with an official visit on the event of the 25th anniversary of signing the Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between Yerevan and Marseille,met with the Mayor of Marseille Jean-Claude Gaudin. Greeting Yerevan Mayor and members of the delegation Jean-Claude Gaudin congratulated on the event and expressed gratitude for the visit stressing that it is one more proof of tight cooperation and mutual respect between the two cities.
“Mister Mayor, be sure that we will go on doing our best to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two cities and we have achieved success within the frames of the agreement contributing this way to strengthening the friendship between the people of the two countries”,said Jean-Claude Gaudin.
Expressing gratitude for the official invitation and warm reception Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn assured that Marseille is really a dear city for Yerevan and congratulated his colleague on the event of 25th anniversary of friendship and cooperation between the two cities outlining that Yerevan attaches great importance to bilateral cooperation and to the cooperation within European programs.
“Mister Mayor,the cooperation between the two cities is obviously developing and expanding. The fact that we gradually pay more attention to the economic component of cooperation is really delightful and I am sure that our efforts aimed at investment and other projects will bring desirable results”,said Taron Margaryan adding that the cities have big potential for cooperation expansion in other spheres of urban economy.
“Mister Mayor, the year of 2018 will be very important and outstanding for us. We will be celebrating the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation and taking the opportunity I invite you to visit our ancient but always young capital and to participate in jubilee events”, stressed Taron Margaryan assuring that Jean-Claude Gaudin is always a welcome guest in Yerevan.
