Prior to Librarian’s Day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan welcomed the employees of the library system of the capital.
Congratulating those present on the professional holiday Mayor Taron Margaryan attached importance to the mission the employees of library system perform particularly regarding preservation of love and interest towards writing and literature among the younger generation.
“Attaching importance to your mission we took special measures to solve the problem of improvement of the conditions in municipal libraries. Be sure that Yerevan Municipality will go on the programs of modernization and technical equipment of the libraries to provide necessary condition both for you and readers”, said Taron Margaryan and wished librarians new achievements and good luck.
On the event of Librarian’s Day, for the contribution to development of library work and many-year effective work the director of non-commercial organization “Central library of Nor Nork” Nazeni Arzumanyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold medal. A group of employees of the library system of the capital was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s honorary diplomas.
