Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening the philatelic exhibition dedicated to the 200th birthday anniversary of Hovhannes Ayvazovski. The event was held at Yerevan history Museum. During the event the ceremony of cancellation of the new postcard with five stamps dedicated to the theme “World-known Armenians:200th anniversary of Hovhannes Ayvazovski” was held. the postcard was cancelled by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the RA Minister of Culture Armen Amiryan, the Deputy Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technology Arman Khachatryan, the General Manager of “Haypost trust management” Juan Pablo Gechidjyan and the Chairman of the Union of Philatelists of Armenia Hovik Musaelyan.
The postcard which is being put into operation include stamps with the nominal price of 170,220,230,380 and 450 drams on which five famous paintings by H.Ayvazovski are depicted.
