Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of closing Kiokushin Karate tournament of Europe
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of closing the Kiokushin Karate tournament of Europe which was held in Yerevan from 7 to 8 of April. More than 700 sportsmen from 28 countries as well as 50 international category referies took part in the tournament.
The international tournament held in Yerevan for the third time this year outstood with high participation rate. The tournament was held in several age groups. The winners among which was the Armenian team were awarded with medals and cups. The president of Kiokushin Federation of Armenia Andranik Hakobyan expressed gratitude to Mayor Taron Margaryan for permanent assistance and stressed the importance of the policy aimed at sport development in Armenia.
According to the organizers, Europe Kiokushin tournament held in Yerevan is dedicated to the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.
