Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the RA NA vice-president Edward Sharmazanov, other officials and numerous guests was present at the opening of the tournament organized by the Armenian Docando Federation. About 1000 athletes take part in the tournament dedicated to May victories. In his greeting speech the president of the World Docando Federation Gor Vardanyan outlined the consistent attitude of Yerevan Mayor to the activation of sport life of the capital and noted that due to it all the federations functioning in the capital have the opportunity to implement all the initiatives aimed at physical education of the younger generation.
Attaching particular importance to holding such tournaments Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that as a result of the firm policy of Yerevan Municipality the programs aimed at activation, development and popularization of sport are effective and promote development of the sphere.
“Today Yerevan Municipality carries out firm policy aimed at sport life activation in the capital. I promise that we will go on keeping at the focus development and popularization of various kinds of sport. I wish all the sportsmen to win and gain new achievements in their sport life”, said the Mayor. During the ceremony of opening the sportsmen of the federation came up with show performances.
