During his working visit to Nor Nork district Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the residents opened two other improved recreation zones. The realization of the program and opening of the new park has been an expected event for the residents of the areas adjacent to the 2nd and 4th buildings of Banavan quarter of Jrvezh. At the request of the residents the Mayor painted the dove of peace drawn on the decorated wall. The residents thanked the Mayor for the improvement and creation of the recreation zone and stressed that such programs are very desirable and important for the residents of the remote districts of the capital. Taron Margaryan assured proportional development of the capital is a program of priority of the Municipality and in this context everything possible has been done so that the residents will feel full residents of the capital no matter in which district they live.
Greeting the position of the Mayor the residents in their turn assured that they will do their best to assist in the implementation of the program of Taron Margaryan. A khachkar which was presented by the Union of Land Defenders in commemoration of Artsakh battle was opened in the recreation zone.
The next park adjacent to Mamikonyan 13 in the 5th quarter of Nor Nork was improved jointly with the Armenian office of the Program of Development of the UNO. And this is one of the best examples of the cooperation of the Municipality with international organizations. Within the frames of the improvement program, to provide proper recreation of the residents a new park with the total surface of 4300 sq m has been provided with everything necessary. Benches, dustbins, a bowers have been installed; new walkways, staircases have been built, the new systems of lighting and irrigation have been installed. Stressing the importance of cooperation with international structures and realization of joint programs Mayor Taron Margaryan once again stressed that the Municipality is open for cooperation, and greeted the participation of the private sector in the cooperation. «We have mentioned many times that improvement of parks, green zones is among our priorities and every year we expand the volumes of our work. And what is more important in this regard we follow the principle of proportional development of the capital and the majority of improvement programs are carried out in remote districts. Today we are putting into operation one more recreation zone which has been built within the program «A beautiful Yerevan» being implemented jointly by the Municipality of Yerevan and the Armenian office of the Program of Development of the UNO. The work started in spring and today Nor Nork has a beautiful recreation zone. More than 70 % of the park is occupied by green zones. I think you have noticed that 4 entrances of the 8 have been adopted for disabled people. We will go on realization of the program of creation new parks, and \i am sure that in a few years we will have a greener and better-arranged city», stressed Taron Margaryan.
The Mayor of Yerevan and the representative of the Program of the UNO development in Armenia Bradly Buzetto planted a fir-tree in the park.
