Yerevan Taron Margaryan visits basic school N71 after Nelson Stepanyan

On the event of Knowledge Day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited the basic school N71 after N.Stepanyan to be present at the ceremony of starting the new academic year. Within the frames of “Help your school” program initiated by Yerevan Municipality the school was completely overhauled due to financial means of the businessman, benefactor this school graduate Arthur Varzhapetyan. The process of renovation included complete repairing of the roof, classrooms, corridors, lavatories and the gym. The furniture and equipment were renovated too. Besides, partial renovation was maintained in the boiler house. Asphalting, landscaping and lighting activities were carried out in the area adjacent to the school.
Mayor Taron Margaryan together with Arthur Varzhapetyan walked about the school, familiarized himself with the work done. Maximally comfortable conditions were provided for more than 770 pupils of the school. This year the school opens its doors for 110 first form pupils.
“Today is a double holiday for the pupils and teachers of this school as it opens its doors completely renovated. In this regard I’d like to express my particular gratitude to Arthur Varzhapetyan who is always next to his school and undertook the renovation. It is really an excellent attitude and we call all the graduates who made a successful career to help their schools as much as they could contributing this way to upbringing of worthy generation. An generally, attaching importance to the necessity of organization of academic process in proper conditions the city authorities tried to show all possible support in repairing schools and kindergartens. In this regard we have certain achievements however they are not enough and a lot is still to be done. But I believe that one day we will speak only about the quality of education and not about the facilities in educational establishments. We have set this task and we will certainly achieve it”, said Taron Margaryan adding that all necessary preparations had been made in all municipal schools so as to ensure proper start of the academic year.
Once again congratulating all schoolchildren and teachers Yerevan Mayor wished them success in the new academic year and expressed confidence that with their everyday consistent work they will educate a more patriotic generation which will serve our homeland contributing to the progress and might of Armenia.
