Yerevan Deputy Mayor David Ohanyan welcomed the representative of the regional organization of German Red Cross of Baden-Wurttemberg, priest Carl-Heints Scheide. Greeting the guest on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the Deputy Mayor expressed gratitude for his charity activity in Armenia.

During the meeting Carl-Heintz Scheide presented the programs to be implemented in 2018. According to him, this year the volumes of activities will be increased in connection with the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation, the 100th anniversary of Declaration of the First Armenian Republic, with the event of holding the Francophonie Summit in Armenia and the 30th anniversary of Spitak earthquake.
It should be noted that due to the efforts of Carl-Heintz Scheide and at co-financing of Yerevan Municipality the program “Charity kitchen” has been fulfilled in Yerevan for the 4th year running. Within the scope of the program needy people from Kanaker-Zeytun, Erebuni, Kentron and Nork-Marash get hot meals once a day as well as make use of social charity services of the benevolent center “Home of Hope”. Every year the geography of the program is being expanded.
