The regular meeting of the coordination committee for the organization of the actions dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held under the chairmanship of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. A number of organizational issues were discussed during the meeting.
Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan reported that the issues which were submitted to the committee are being discussed by the working group formed adjunct to the committee. It was also reported that some of the submitted proposals were taken into account and included in the list of scheduled events and the programs of administrative districts are still being discussed. Taking into account the awaited arrival of numerous guests in Yerevan within foreign delegations Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to start the improvement activities in the capital. The Mayor also instructed to discuss the schedule of anticipated events, processions with the Road police on April 23 and 24 as well as the issues related to security.
At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed his deputy Aram Sukiasyan to present within a week the concrete schedule of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Genocide and the places where the actions are to be held.
